Attendees will discuss facts, statistics, and myths about suicide and suicidal callers, practice their reflective listening skills, discuss crucial direct questions to ask to keep the caller talking, and gain call handling methods proven effective for others. The course also addresses telecommunicator stress and self-care techniques and resources.
